  Woman's Club of Englewood

Review from Andres E., Clifton, NJ - 4/29/2011

I recently had the pleasure of being able to hold my girlfriend's baby shower at the Woman's Club of Englewood and all I can say is that I will be back! We maxed out at about 100 guests and it was just enough to comfortably please each and every one of them. Had the weather been nicer, we would of definitely taken advantage of their outside lawns that they offer as part of the package. Everything is well kept and clean. The people who run it are there to help you from the beginning to the end and are easy to reach via phone or email. I HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone looking to have a small wedding or baby shower.
Review fro Adria G. - Brooklyn, NY - 7/29/2010

My husband and I had our July 2010 wedding at the Woman's Club of Englewood, and it was a beautiful, intimate place for a small wedding. Our 60 guests fit nicely out on the well manicured lawn for the ceremony, with a lovely wooden trellis that we decorated for the day. The 19th century stone carriage house with its charming red doors and window frames was a romantic setting for our big day with all of the comforts of home, and more of course! There is a nice sized upstairs bathroom and dressing room for the bride to get ready and freshen up throughout the reception. There is also a lovely art studio where our photographer took portrait shots of me (the bride!) with easels and paintings all around. The reception room is charming, with a large stone fireplace, lace curtains on the windows, and even a gorgeous Steinway piano should you have anyone musically talented at your gathering. There is plenty of parking for all of your guests. What I liked most about the Woman's Club was the ability to customize absolutely everything about the event, from the lighting to the food to the professional quality speakers we paired with our iPod playlist. With the assistance of Maria McCartney, the incredible, energetic, highly organized, extraordinarily helpful steward of the building, we assembled a group of exceptional vendors of our own choosing, rather than being stuck with whatever so-so food and services a typical NJ wedding factory would insist upon. We had the wedding of our dreams on a very reasonable budget, and I recommend looking at this venue for your small to medium sized affair.
